How it works
How do you transcribe a Zoho Meeting recording?
Sign in to Zoho Meeting, open Files, then Recordings, and download the meeting as an MP4. Drop that file on the converter: it takes the sound, transcribes it piece by piece, and shows the text with times.
- 1
Open Files → Recordings
In your Zoho Meeting account, click Files on the left. Meetings and webinars you recorded are listed under Recordings.
- 2
Download the MP4
Click the three-dots menu beside the recording and choose Download.
- 3
Drop it on the page
The converter transcribes up to 30 minutes of each recording and puts a time on every paragraph.
Who can record in Zoho Meeting?
Only the presenter, and only on a paid edition: Zoho keeps Session Recording out of its free one. A recording can run up to 12 hours, and Zoho keeps it in the cloud, under your plan’s storage, until someone deletes it.
Why is there no video in a Zoho Meeting recording?
Because Zoho records the audio and any screen sharing, not cameras, unless you turned on Record meeting video under My Settings beforehand. For a transcript it makes no difference: the converter uses only the sound, and Zoho captures voices over VoIP and the phone alike.
Where is the recording after a Zoho meeting ends?
In two places. Zoho sends every recording to the presenter’s email address once the meeting is over, and keeps it in the Recordings tab under Files, where you can play, share, download or delete it, and filter the list to find older ones.
Find it fast
In the Recordings tab, the filter icon on the right narrows the list.
Download before deleting
Zoho says a deleted recording can’t be reached through its links, so download the recording first.
Share with care
A recording link can’t be revoked once it’s shared; a transcript lets you pass on only the parts you choose.
What can you do with a Zoho Meeting transcript?
Turn an hour of talk into something people will actually read. Zoho Meeting runs both meetings and webinars, and either kind is far easier to search, quote and reuse as text than as a video.
Webinar follow-up
Pull the questions attendees asked, with the answers, into the follow-up email.
Training notes
Turn a recorded walkthrough into written steps for whoever joins next.
Client decisions
Search the transcript for the dates, prices and names that were agreed.
Want your Zoho calls transcribed on your Mac?
NoteOwl records Zoho Meeting calls on your Mac by taking your microphone and the Mac’s own audio; no bot joins. When the call ends, it writes the transcript with the speakers labelled, unlimited, on your Mac.
FAQ
Questions about transcribing Zoho Meeting recordings
Is this Zoho Meeting transcription free?
Yes. There’s no account to create: transcribe 3 recordings a day, up to 30 minutes of each, and keep the text as a Word document, a text file or subtitles.
Can I transcribe a Zoho recording straight from its share link?
No. The converter needs the MP4 itself. Download it from Files → Recordings in Zoho Meeting, using the three-dots menu, and drop the downloaded file here.
Is the Zoho Meeting recording uploaded?
No. The MP4 never leaves your computer. Your browser separates out its sound and passes short pieces of it, over a secure connection, to a cloud AI transcription service, which transcribes each one and discards it. NoteOwl stores nothing.
Does the transcript show each participant’s name?
No. The converter returns one transcript with times but no speaker names. Add names yourself where each person starts talking, or use NoteOwl on a Mac, which labels who spoke.
What if my Zoho Meeting recording is longer than 30 minutes?
Zoho records up to 12 hours, but the converter transcribes the first 30 minutes of a file and says so above the transcript. Cut the MP4 into parts for the rest, or record with NoteOwl on a Mac, which sets no length limit.
Are dial-in participants in the Zoho recording?
Yes. Zoho captures meeting audio that comes over VoIP and over the telephone, so the voices of people who phoned in are in the MP4 and in the transcript too.
