How it works
How do you translate an English recording into Azerbaijani?
To translate English audio to Azerbaijani, drop the recording on this page. The English is transcribed in short pieces, then every line is translated into Azerbaijani and keeps its time. Read the Azerbaijani transcript, check deadlines and names against the English, then save it.
- 1
Add the recording
An English MP3, M4A, WAV or OGG: a webinar, a lesson, a call or an interview.
- 2
English, then Azerbaijani
Transcribed and translated, through the first 30 minutes of each file.
- 3
Save the transcript
Copy the Azerbaijani, or download text or Word; Original shows the English.
What should you double-check in the Azerbaijani?
Weekdays and deadlines. Azerbaijani calls Thursday “Cümə axşamı”, the eve of Friday, so a day name is easy to misread in a deadline. In minutes or action points, compare every day and date with the English.
Is the Azerbaijani formal or casual?
Formal. Every line addressed the listener as siz: “göndərə bilərsinizmi?” for “can you send?”, and “Bilirsiniz” for “you know”. That fits interviews and business calls; in a quote from a friend, sən may sound more natural.
What happens to fillers and casual speech?
They are smoothed. “Well, you know, it’s kind of a big deal” became “Bilirsiniz, bu, bir qədər böyük məsələdir”: the “well” went, “kind of” became bir qədər (somewhat). The meaning holds, so quote the Azerbaijani knowing it is tidier than the speech.

Does Azerbaijani lose anything from the English?
Gender, harmlessly: Azerbaijani has no he or she, so “Our doctor said she would call back” became “Həkimimiz… dedi”, with no pronoun at all. Names stay in their English spelling, and a word misheard in the English transcript is translated as misheard.
How good is English to Azerbaijani translation?
In our test it came in just under the dedicated translation system we compared it with, within the margin we set. Azerbaijani ran about the same length as the English, and the useful checks are days, dates and names.
Recording in English, Russian or Turkish?
NoteOwl understands English, Russian and Turkish on your Mac, though not Azerbaijani. It transcribes recordings and meetings with unlimited transcription, labels each speaker and keeps everything searchable. For English as English text, use audio to text.
FAQ
Questions about translating English audio into Azerbaijani
Is the English to Azerbaijani audio translator free?
Yes. 3 recordings a day, the first 30 minutes of each, without an account. The Azerbaijani, the English and all downloads are included.
Can I get the Azerbaijani as a Word file?
Yes. The Word file shows the recording’s length, the date and “Translated: English → Azerbaijani”, followed by the Azerbaijani paragraphs and their times.
Is it written in the Latin alphabet?
Yes. Every line of our test came back in the Latin alphabet used in Azerbaijan, with ə, ğ, ı, ö, ü, ş and ç.
What if the speakers switch to Azerbaijani or Russian?
This page hears everything as English. For a recording that changes language, use the main audio translator with the spoken language on Detect automatically.
Will it name the speakers?
No. The Azerbaijani has the words and times only. NoteOwl on a Mac labels each speaker in its own transcripts.
Is my recording kept?
No. Short pieces of the sound go from your browser to a cloud AI transcription service and the English text to a cloud AI translation service; each discards what it receives. NoteOwl stores no audio and no text.
