What do you get from an English recording in Bosnian?
A Bosnian transcript in paragraphs, each marked with the time it was spoken, plus the English transcript with the same times. The Word version is headed “Translated: English → Bosnian”, ready to send to a colleague or file with your notes.
How does spoken English read in Bosnian?
Like speech, not like a contract. “Well, you know, it’s kind of a big deal” became “Pa, znate, to je neka velika stvar”, the filler kept as “znate”, and “Thank you all for coming today” became “Hvala vam svima što ste došli danas”.
Polite vi
Every test line addressed people with vi, the form for a group or for someone you’d address formally.
Names as heard
People keep the spelling of the English transcript: “Dr. Patel i Maria Lopez će voditi sesiju.”
Latin letters
The Bosnian comes back in Latin script, easy to paste into any document.
Does the Bosnian get women and men right?
In our test, yes. “Our doctor said she would call back tomorrow” became “Naša doktorka je rekla da će nazvati sutra”, a feminine noun and verb. A mixed group took the masculine, “Učitelji su bili umorni”. Check lines where only “she” or “he” shows who is meant.
- Our doctor said she would call back tomorrow.
- BosnianNaša doktorka je rekla da će nazvati sutra.
- The teachers were tired after the trip.
- BosnianUčitelji su bili umorni nakon izleta.
- Thank you all for coming today.
- BosnianHvala vam svima što ste došli danas.

How good is English to Bosnian translation?
Very well in our test: on 50 sentences, translation from English into Bosnian scored clearly above the dedicated translation system we compared it with, and ran about as long as the English. A word the English transcript misheard is the bigger risk, since it is translated as heard.
Recording conversations in English every week?
NoteOwl understands English on your Mac and transcribes it with unlimited transcription, labelling each speaker and keeping every conversation searchable; the English transcripts can be translated here. It doesn’t transcribe Bosnian. For an English transcript only, use audio to text.
FAQ
English audio into Bosnian: questions
Is the English to Bosnian audio translator free?
Yes. 3 recordings a day, up to 30 minutes of each, without an account. The Bosnian, the English transcript and the downloads are all included.
Is the translation Bosnian or Croatian?
Bosnian: in our test it wrote oktobar for October and doktorka for a woman doctor, where Croatian wrote listopad and liječnik. The English to Croatian page writes Croatian forms if that’s what you need.
Can I get the Bosnian as a Word file?
Yes. Download Word for a document with the recording’s name, its length and “Translated: English → Bosnian”, then the Bosnian paragraphs with their times, which you can switch off.
Will it read the Bosnian aloud?
No. The result is written Bosnian, as text, Word or subtitles. No spoken version is made.
What if part of the recording is in Bosnian already?
This page transcribes everything as English. For a recording that moves between the two languages, the main audio translator with Detect automatically is the better choice.
Who keeps my recording?
Nobody. Your browser sends short pieces of the sound to a cloud AI transcription service and the English text to a cloud AI translation service; each discards what it receives, and NoteOwl stores neither the audio nor the text.
