How it works
How do you add Bosnian subtitles to an English video?
To translate an English video to Bosnian, drop the file on this page. Its sound is taken out in your browser and transcribed, each line is translated into Bosnian, and the Bosnian is cut into subtitles timed to the English speech. Then download the SRT or VTT.

SRT for editors and YouTube, VTT for web players; Original gives the English ones.
How do Bosnian subtitles fit on screen?
Comfortably. In our test, Bosnian ran about as long as English, so the subtitles keep a similar rhythm. Each holds at most 2 lines of about 42 characters and stays up long enough to read at 17 characters a second.
The Bosnian is cut into subtitles after translation, along its own sentences, so it may have a subtitle more or fewer than the English. A date such as “16. oktobra” isn’t taken for a sentence end: the rules were adjusted after Bosnian test subtitles split there.
How are dates, prices and times written in the Bosnian?
The Bosnian way. “October 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.” became “16. oktobra 2026. u 15:30”: day first, a full stop after the day and the year, the 24-hour clock. “6.5 percent to $1,250” became “6,5 posto na 1.250 dolara”.

Are viewers addressed with Vi?
Yes. The translation chose vi throughout and capitalised it where Bosnian writes respectfully: “Please sit down, sir” became “Molim Vas, sjednite, gospodine”. For a relaxed vlog, ti may suit your viewers better; change it in the SRT before you upload.
Where can you use Bosnian subtitles?
Anywhere that takes SRT or VTT: YouTube Studio as a Bosnian subtitle track, editors such as Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, or a player like VLC beside the video file. In our test, English into Bosnian scored clearly above the dedicated translation system we compared it with.
Publishing videos in English first?
NoteOwl understands English on your Mac: it imports MP4 files, transcribes them with unlimited transcription and saves SRT subtitles with speaker names. It doesn’t transcribe Bosnian. Subtitles you already have go through the subtitle translator with their exact times.
FAQ
Bosnian subtitles for English videos: questions
Is the English to Bosnian video translator free?
Yes. 3 videos a day, up to 30 minutes each, no account, no watermark. The Bosnian SRT and VTT and the English subtitles are included.
Does it dub the video in Bosnian?
No. It makes Bosnian subtitles only; your video and its English sound stay exactly as they were.
Are the subtitles Bosnian or Croatian?
Bosnian: oktobar for October and nevjerovatno for amazing, where the Croatian target writes listopad and nevjerojatno. Viewers across the region will follow either, but your Bosnian audience will notice the difference.
How do I add them on YouTube?
Open YouTube Studio, go to Subtitles, choose the video, add Bosnian as a language and upload the SRT with timing. Viewers then choose Bosnian in the subtitles menu.
Will the Bosnian subtitles line up with the English ones?
Their timing follows the same speech, but not one for one: the Bosnian is divided into subtitles by its own sentences, so the count can differ slightly.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. The browser separates the sound on your device; short pieces of it go to a cloud AI transcription service, then the English text to a cloud AI translation service, and both discard it. The picture never leaves, and NoteOwl stores nothing.
