How it works

How do you turn a Spanish recording into Russian text?

Drop the recording here to translate Spanish audio to Russian. The page listens only for Spanish, writes each short piece down, then translates the lines into Russian in batches. Each Russian line keeps its time; switch to Original for the Spanish.

  1. 1

    Drop the Spanish recording

An interview, a lecture, a business call or a voice message, in any common audio format.

  2. 2

    Spanish, then Russian

A Spanish transcript first, then the Russian. Each file can be up to 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Save the Russian

Copy it, or download TXT or Word.

Are Spanish names written in Cyrillic?

Yes, and they take Russian case endings like any noun. In our test, “por Raonic” became “Раоником”, and “los vientos de Fred” “ветра Фреда”. Venues can stay in Latin letters: “Six Flags St. Louis” did, right next to “Миссури” in Cyrillic.

The human Russian spelled the tennis player “Раонич”, ours “Раоник”: Cyrillic spellings of foreign names vary, so match them to how your readers already write them. The letter ё comes and goes: our Spanish test lines wrote самолет, our English ones отчёт, and both are normal in print.

Why must the Russian pick “he” or “she” when the Spanish didn’t?

Russian past-tense verbs change with gender, and Spanish often leaves out who acted: “Llegó tarde” names nobody. The Russian has to choose a man’s or a woman’s ending, usually from the lines around it. From English, our test wrote “Наш врач сказала”, keeping a woman doctor.

Will tú become ты or вы?

Spanish makes the same split, tú and usted, ты and вы, so the choice is already in the speech. From English our test used вы throughout, even for “you know” (“знаете”). In a friendly Spanish conversation, read for вы that should be ты.

What should you check in the Russian transcript?

Words whose meaning depends on the story. “Expulsaron a Piquet Jr.” became “дисквалифицировали” (disqualified), where the human Russian says he wasn’t allowed to race. Times read the Russian way, “8:46 утра”, and “Brisbane Open” became a description: “на открытом турнире в Брисбене”.

  • Numbers

From English, Russian wrote “6,5 процента” and “1250 долларов”: a decimal comma and the currency in words.

  • Dates

“16 октября 2026 года в 15:30”: day, month, year and the 24-hour clock.

  • Names

Declined and in Cyrillic; check spellings you already know.

How was Spanish to Russian translation tested?

With ten Spanish sentences from a public test set, each beside a professional Russian translation. The Russian was clear and a little shorter than the Spanish.

FAQ

Questions about translating Spanish audio into Russian

Is the Spanish to Russian audio translator free?

Yes. You can translate 3 recordings a day, each up to 30 minutes, with no account; the Russian, the Spanish and every download are included.

Can I save the Russian as a Word document?

Yes. The Word file opens with the recording’s length and “Translated: Spanish → Russian”, then the Russian paragraphs, each with its time unless you untick Times in the text.

Does it handle Spanish from Spain and Latin America?

Yes. Every accent is transcribed as Spanish in standard spelling before translation; unusual names are the most likely slips.

What if part of the conversation is in Russian?

This page writes every part down as Spanish. For a recording that mixes both, use the main audio translator with the spoken language on Detect automatically.

Will I get the Russian as audio?

No. You get written Russian to read, copy or download; nothing is spoken.

Is my recording saved anywhere?

No. Your browser sends short pieces of the sound to a cloud AI transcription service and the Spanish text to a cloud AI translation service, which discard it. NoteOwl stores no audio and no text.
