How it works
How do you turn subtitles into Azerbaijani?
Drop the SRT or VTT here; the target is already Azerbaijani. Subtitle text is translated a batch at a time, neighbours together, and placed back on the original timecodes. Go through the Azerbaijani, weekdays and names especially, then download.
- 1
Choose the file
SRT or VTT in English, Russian, Turkish or another language on the list; the page recognises which.
- 2
Translate into Azerbaijani
Only the words are sent; numbering and times are copied across unchanged.
- 3
Download the result
An Azerbaijani SRT or VTT, or a bilingual SRT with the original line above.
Does the Azerbaijani use siz or sən?
Siz, the polite form, in every test line: “göndərə bilərsinizmi?” for “Can you send…?”, “Bilirsiniz” for “you know”, and “Lütfən, oturun, cənab” for “Please sit down, sir”. For a casual channel, switch to sən where it should sound closer.
What should you check in Azerbaijani subtitles?
Weekdays and deadlines first. Azerbaijani calls Thursday “Cümə axşamı”, the eve of Friday, so compare every day name with the original. Then check names and figures against the original before publishing.
How are dates and numbers written in Azerbaijani subtitles?
With a decimal comma, a space between thousands, the 24-hour clock and endings joined to numbers by a hyphen: “6,5 faiz”, “1 250 dollara”, “16 oktyabr 2026-cı ildə, saat 15:30-da”. The layout keeps a number such as 1 250 together on one line.
- The price went up by 6.5 percent to $1,250.
- Azerbaijani subtitleQiymət 6,5 faiz artaraq 1 250 dollara yüksəldi.
- The meeting is on October 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.
- Azerbaijani subtitleToplantı 16 oktyabr 2026-cı ildə, saat 15:30-da keçiriləcək.
- Our doctor said she would call back tomorrow.
- Azerbaijani subtitleHəkimimiz sabah geri zəng edəcəyini dedi.

Will Azerbaijani subtitles fit the same space?
Yes, near enough: Azerbaijani ran about the same length as English in our test. Long words built from suffixes, such as bilərsinizmi or keçiriləcək, are never split; the layout breaks only between words, two lines at most, each subtitle at its original time.
Each line aims for 42 characters; a translation that runs long gets two fuller lines rather than a third.
How reliable is English to Azerbaijani translation?
Close to the dedicated translation system we compared it with: just under it, within the margin we set. Azerbaijani has no he or she, so gender rarely needs fixing; the useful checks are weekdays, names and whether siz suits your viewers.
Recording in English, Russian or Turkish?
NoteOwl on a Mac understands English, Russian and Turkish, and transcribes recordings in them with unlimited transcription, saving SRT subtitles with speaker names for translating here. It doesn’t transcribe Azerbaijani; for Azerbaijani speech, use the Azerbaijani subtitle generator.
FAQ
Questions about Azerbaijani subtitle translation
Is it free to translate subtitles to Azerbaijani?
Yes. Up to 3 files a day, with 30,000 characters of subtitle text in each, and no account needed.
Can I translate Turkish or Russian subtitles into Azerbaijani?
Yes. Choose the file’s language under From, or leave it to detection, and the subtitles come back in Azerbaijani at the same times.
Does it write Azerbaijani in Latin or Arabic script?
Latin, the alphabet used in the Republic of Azerbaijan, with ə, ğ, ı, ö, ü, ş and ç; every line of our test came back that way. The Perso-Arabic script used for Azerbaijani in Iran isn’t what it writes.
Will the timing match my video?
Yes. Subtitle numbers and start and end times are copied from your file, so the Azerbaijani appears exactly when the original line did.
Can I show the original line above the Azerbaijani?
Yes. Download the bilingual SRT: each subtitle keeps the original on top and the Azerbaijani below, a quick way to check the translation line by line.
Is my subtitle file stored?
No. It opens in your browser and only the subtitle text goes, in batches, to a cloud AI translation service that sends back Azerbaijani and keeps nothing. NoteOwl stores no copy.
