How it works
How do you get a Czech transcript of English audio?
To translate English audio to Czech, drop the recording here. The English is transcribed in short pieces, the lines are translated into Czech in batches, and every paragraph keeps the time it was spoken. Copy the Czech, or save it as text or a Word file.

Drop the English recording
An MP3, M4A, WAV or OGG: a webinar, a lecture, a client call.
- 2
From English to Czech
The English is written down, then translated. Up to 30 minutes of each recording.
- 3
Save the Czech text
Copy, TXT or Word; the English stays one click away under Original.
What does the Czech version give you?
Czech text broken into paragraphs, each stamped with its start time. As a Word file it is headed by the recording’s length, the line “Translated: English → Czech” and today’s date; as TXT it is just the text. Czech ran a little shorter than English in our test.
How does spoken English sound in Czech?
Polite and natural. “Well, you know, it’s kind of a big deal” became “No, víte, je to docela velká věc”, with the formal víte for “you know”; “Thank you all for coming today” became “Děkuji vám všem, že jste dnes přišli”, addressing the whole room.
If you are quoting a friend or a child, the formal vy forms can sound distant; change them to ty (víš, přišel jsi) where that fits the speaker.
Will the Czech get women’s words right?
When English says “she”, yes: “Our doctor said she would call back tomorrow” became “Naše doktorka říkala, že zítra zavolá zpět”, with a feminine noun and verb. When English gives no clue, Czech has to guess, and in our test it guessed masculine.
“Učitelé byli unavení” suits men or a mixed group; if the teachers were all women, write “Učitelky byly unavené”.
- Our doctor said she would call back tomorrow.
- CzechNaše doktorka říkala, že zítra zavolá zpět.
- The teachers were tired after the trip.
- CzechUčitelé byli po výletě unavení.
| English | Czech |

| Our doctor said she would call back tomorrow. | Naše doktorka říkala, že zítra zavolá zpět. |
| The teachers were tired after the trip. | Učitelé byli po výletě unavení. |
How do names appear in the Czech transcript?
Unchanged from the English transcript: “Dr. Patel and Maria Lopez will lead the session” came out as “Dr. Patel a Maria Lopez budou sezení vést”. Czech often adds case endings to names (“s Raonicem”), so search for the start of a surname, not the whole word.
How good is English to Czech translation here?
Good. In our test of fifty English sentences, translation into Czech scored above the dedicated translation system we compared it with. Check unusual names against the recording: a name misheard in English stays misheard in Czech.

FAQ
Questions about English audio translated into Czech
Is the English to Czech audio translator free?
Yes. Translate 3 recordings a day, up to 30 minutes each, with no sign-up. You get the Czech, the English and every download.
Can I send the Czech as a Word document?
Yes. Download Word and you get the recording’s name, its length, “Translated: English → Czech”, the date and the Czech paragraphs, with times or without.
Can it translate an English webinar into Czech?
Yes, from the recording file, such as the MP4 or M4A the webinar tool saves. The first 30 minutes are translated.
What if a speaker switches to Czech or Slovak?
Everything is transcribed as English on this page. For a recording that moves between languages, the main audio translator with the spoken language on Detect automatically handles it better.
Does the Czech transcript show the speakers?
No. It contains the words and times only. NoteOwl on a Mac labels each speaker in the transcripts it creates.
Is the recording uploaded?
Not as a file. Short slices of its sound leave your browser for a cloud AI transcription service, and the English words for a cloud AI translation service; neither keeps them. NoteOwl stores no copy either.
