How it works

How do you give an English video Czech subtitles?

To translate an English video to Czech, drop the video on this page. The English sound is transcribed, each line becomes Czech, and the Czech is laid out as subtitles timed to the speech. Download the Czech SRT or VTT and add it in YouTube Studio or your editor.

  1. 1

    Drop the English video

MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM; only its sound is processed.

  2. 2

    Czech titulky are built

Transcribed, translated into Czech, timed. Up to 30 minutes of each video.

  3. 3

    Download and publish

Czech SRT or VTT, and the English subtitles under Original.

Are Czech subtitles shorter than the English ones?

Often. Czech ran a little shorter than English in our test, and because the Czech is cut into subtitles after translating, a sentence that needed two English lines may need one Czech line. Each subtitle holds at most 2 lines of 42 characters.

The price went up by / 6.5 percent to $1,250.

The meeting is on October / 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.
Czech subtitleSchůzka se koná 16. října 2026 v 15:30.

Do numbers and dates follow Czech subtitle style?

Yes. The decimal comma (6,5), the space before the last three digits (1 250 $), the full stop that marks a day as an ordinal (16. října) and the 24-hour clock (15:30) all match the conventions Netflix’s Czech subtitle guide asks for.

Will Czech viewers be addressed formally?

Yes, with vy. “Can you send me the report before Friday?” became “Můžete mi poslat tu zprávu před pátkem?”, a formal request that suits tutorials, company videos and talks. A channel that talks to its viewers like friends may prefer ty forms such as “Můžeš”.

What small touches will Czech viewers notice?

Lines that read as Czech rather than translated English. In our test, “Wow!” became the native “Páni!”, and a man addressed as “sir” got the Czech vocative “pane”. Both read naturally in a subtitle.

  • Exclamations

“Wow! That’s amazing!” became “Páni! To je úžasné!”

  • Addressing someone

“Please sit down, sir” became “Prosím, sedněte si, pane.”

  • Ordinals

The full stop in “16. října” means the sixteenth; leave it in.

FAQ

Questions about Czech subtitles for English videos

Is the English to Czech video translator free?

Yes. 3 videos a day, up to 30 minutes each, without an account and without a watermark. Czech and English subtitle files are both included.

How good are the Czech subtitles?

In our test of fifty English sentences, translation into Czech scored above the dedicated translation system we compared it with. Watching the video once with the titulky on is the best check, especially for names.

Does it dub the video into Czech?

No. You get Czech subtitles, not a Czech soundtrack, and the video file is never changed.

How do I add Czech subtitles on YouTube?

In YouTube Studio, open Subtitles, select the video, add Czech and upload the SRT with timing. Czech viewers then pick it from the subtitle menu.

Can I make Slovak subtitles from the same video?

Yes. Open the English to Slovak page of this tool and drop the same video there; each language is its own run.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Your browser extracts the sound; short pieces go to a cloud AI transcription service and the English text to a cloud AI translation service, each discarding what it got. The picture is never sent.
