How it works
How do you translate English audio into Lithuanian?
To translate English audio to Lithuanian, add the recording here; the page expects English speech and writes Lithuanian. It is transcribed in short pieces, then translated line by line with each line’s time kept. Read the Lithuanian, open the English when you need the original, and download.
- 1
Add the English recording
A lecture, a podcast episode, an interview or a voice message: MP3, M4A, WAV or another audio file.
- 2
Transcribe, then translate
The English is written down first, then put into Lithuanian. Up to 30 minutes per recording.
- 3
Save the Lithuanian
Copy it, or download text or Word; the English transcript has the same times.
What can you do with a Lithuanian transcript?
Read a talk you missed, send a colleague the gist of a call, quote a speaker or file the text with a project. Each paragraph carries the time it was said, and the Word file is headed “Translated: English → Lithuanian” with the recording’s length and the date.
Does the Lithuanian use jūs or tu?
Jūs. Our test kept the polite plural throughout: “Thank you all for coming today” became “Ačiū visiems, kad šiandien atėjote”, and even “you know” came back as “žinote”. That fits most interviews and talks; a chat between friends would use tu.
Does the Lithuanian keep “she” and “he”?
Yes, where English names them. “Our doctor said she would call back tomorrow” became “Mūsų gydytoja sakė, kad rytoj paskambins atgal”, a woman doctor. Where English is silent, Lithuanian uses the masculine: “The teachers were tired” became “Mokytojai buvo pavargę”.
Are English names kept as written?
Yes. “Dr. Patel and Maria Lopez” stayed exactly as written in our test, so names in the Lithuanian transcript are easy to search for. A name the English transcript misheard is carried over as misheard, so check names against the recording.
In our test, translation from English into Lithuanian scored just under the dedicated translation system we compared it with, within the margin we set. Lithuanian came out a little shorter than the English it translated.

FAQ
English to Lithuanian audio: your questions
Is the English to Lithuanian audio translator free?
Yes. Translate up to 3 recordings a day, each as long as 30 minutes, with no account. The Lithuanian transcript, the English one and the downloads are all included.
Can I download the Lithuanian as a Word file?
Yes. The Word file opens with the recording’s length, “Translated: English → Lithuanian” and the date, then the Lithuanian paragraphs, each with its time unless you switch times off.
Can it read the Lithuanian aloud?
No. It writes Lithuanian as text, a Word document or subtitles; it doesn’t make a Lithuanian voice recording.
What about a recording that is partly in Lithuanian?
This page transcribes everything as English. If the speakers move between the two languages, use the main audio translator and set the spoken language to Detect automatically.
Are speakers named in the transcript?
No. The Lithuanian transcript has the words and their times, without names. NoteOwl on a Mac labels each speaker in the transcripts it makes.
Does my recording leave my device?
The recording doesn’t. Short pieces of its sound go to a cloud AI transcription service, then the English text to a cloud AI translation service; each discards what it was sent, and NoteOwl stores nothing.
