How it works
How do you add Romanian subtitles to an English video?
To translate an English video to Romanian, drop it on this page. The sound is transcribed in English, each line is translated, and the Romanian is laid out as subtitles timed to the speech. Download the Romanian SRT and add it to the video wherever you publish it.

Or switch to Original for the English subtitles.
Do Romanian subtitles take more room on screen?
A little. Romanian ran slightly longer than English in our test, so the Romanian is laid out on its own: at most 2 lines of about 42 characters per subtitle, each shown for 1 to 7 seconds and long enough to read.
Because the Romanian is split into subtitles after it is translated, it follows Romanian sentences and pauses rather than copying the English breaks. Every subtitle still starts while the English words are spoken.
Do ș and ț show up correctly in the subtitles?
Yes. The translation uses the comma-below ș and ț that Romanian spelling requires, so “Prețul” and “sesiunea” read as Romanian viewers expect. The files are plain text, so any player that shows Unicode subtitles displays them faithfully.
How do prices, dates and times look in Romanian subtitles?
Familiar to Romanian viewers: 6,5% with a comma, 1.250 with a full stop, “de” before “dolari”, the date as day, month, year, and the 24-hour clock.
- The price went up by 6.5 percent to $1,250.
- Romanian subtitlePrețul a crescut cu 6,5% la 1.250 de dolari.
- The meeting is on October 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.
- Romanian subtitleÎntâlnirea este pe 16 octombrie 2026, la ora 15:30.

Do the subtitles talk to viewers with tu?
In everyday lines, yes: “Can you send me the report before Friday?” became “Poți să-mi trimiți raportul înainte de vineri?”. That suits a friendly channel. For training or company videos, switch such lines to the polite dumneavoastră forms.
Names stay as written (“Dr. Patel și Maria Lopez vor conduce sesiunea”), and “Wow! That’s amazing!” became “Wow! E uimitor!”, with the English “Wow” kept as it was. In our test, translation from English into Romanian scored clearly above the dedicated translation system we compared it with.

FAQ
Questions about Romanian subtitles for English videos
Is the English to Romanian video translator free?
Yes. Translate 3 videos a day, up to 30 minutes each, with no account and no watermark. Romanian SRT and VTT and the English subtitles are included.
Will my video be dubbed into Romanian?
No. You get Romanian subtitle files; the video and its English sound aren’t touched. Add the SRT on your platform or burn it in with an editor.
How do I add Romanian subtitles on YouTube?
In YouTube Studio, open Subtitles, choose the video, add Romanian as a language and upload the SRT with timing. Viewers then pick Romanian in the subtitle menu.
Can I correct the Romanian before publishing?
Yes. Edit the SRT in any text or subtitle editor: change a word, the form of address or a gender, and save. The times stay as they are.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Your browser takes the sound out of the video; short pieces go to a cloud AI transcription service and the English text to a cloud AI translation service, which discard them. The picture never leaves your device.
Do I get the English subtitles too?
Yes. Switch to Original and download the English SRT, timed identically, to publish both languages side by side.
