How it works

How do you add Hungarian subtitles to an English video?

To translate an English video to Hungarian, drop it here. The page takes its sound, transcribes the English, translates every line into Hungarian and times the Hungarian subtitles to the speech. Download the Hungarian SRT and attach it to your video.

  1. 1

    Open the English video

MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM. Only the sound is read; the picture stays put.

  2. 2

    Get Hungarian subtitles

English is transcribed and translated, then timed. Up to 30 minutes of each video.

  3. 3

    Download the files

Hungarian SRT or VTT; the English subtitles are under Original.

How much room do Hungarian subtitles need?

About as much as English: the two ran close in length in our test. Each Hungarian subtitle has at most 2 lines of about 42 characters and stays up long enough to read at about 17 characters a second.

Hungarian builds long words by joining parts together. Lines break only between words, so a long word moves whole to the next line instead of being split with a hyphen. In our test, translation from English into Hungarian scored level with the dedicated translation system we compared it with.

How do dates and numbers look in Hungarian subtitles?

Hungarian style: the year comes first, the day takes a hyphenated ending, times use the 24-hour clock and decimals a comma. In the date line, one word stayed in English, “meeting”; change it to “megbeszélés” or similar before publishing.

The meeting is on October 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.

The price went up by 6.5 percent to $1,250.

How do the subtitles speak to Hungarian viewers?

Not always in one voice. “Can you send me the report before Friday?” got the polite “Küldhetné nekem a jelentést péntek előtt?”, but a casual line elsewhere used the familiar form. Decide how your channel talks to viewers and make the subtitles agree.

Do names and exclamations come through cleanly?

Yes. Names in Latin letters keep their spelling, as in “Dr. Patel és Maria Lopez vezeti a munkamenetet”, and “Wow! That’s amazing!” became the natural “Hű! Ez lenyűgöző!”, with Hungarian accented letters in place.

FAQ

Questions about Hungarian subtitles for English videos

Is the English to Hungarian video translator free?

Yes. 3 videos a day, up to 30 minutes each, with no account and no watermark. The Hungarian SRT and VTT and the English subtitles are included.

Does it record a Hungarian voice-over?

No. It produces Hungarian subtitle files only, and your video and its English sound stay exactly as they were.

How do I add the Hungarian subtitles on YouTube?

Open YouTube Studio, choose Subtitles and the video, add Hungarian as a language, then upload the SRT file with timing. Viewers can pick Hungarian from the subtitle menu.

Can I edit the Hungarian before publishing?

Yes. The SRT is plain text: open it in any text editor or subtitle editor, fix a word or the register, and save it without touching the times.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Your browser pulls the sound out of the video; short pieces of it go to a cloud AI transcription service and the English text to a cloud AI translation service, which keep nothing. The picture is never sent.

Do I get English subtitles too?

Yes. Switch to Original and download the English SRT with the same timing, so you can publish both languages.
