How it works
How do you add Slovenian subtitles to an English video?
To translate an English video to Slovenian, drop it on this page. The browser takes the sound out, the English speech is transcribed and translated, and the Slovenian is cut into subtitles at the moments the English is spoken. Then save the Slovenian SRT or VTT.
- 1
Choose the English video
MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM; only its sound is used.
- 2
Slovenian subtitles are built
From English speech to Slovenian text, timed. Up to 30 minutes of each video.
- 3
Save SRT or VTT
The English subtitles are under Original, with the same timing.
How do Slovenian subtitles look on screen?
Much like English: in our test Slovenian ran about as long as English, so each subtitle gets the usual room, up to 2 lines of 42 characters, on screen long enough to read at 17 characters a second. Č, š and ž count as single characters.
Lines break between words, and the layout avoids leaving a one-letter preposition, “v”, “z”, “s” or “k”, at a line’s end, and avoids parting a date such as “16. oktobra” from its month.
How are clock times written in Slovenian subtitles?
With a full stop and the 24-hour clock: “The meeting is on October 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.” became “Sestanek je 16. oktobra 2026 ob 15.30.” That is how Slovenian writes times, so viewers won’t need anything changed. There is no full stop after the year.
- The meeting is on October 16, 2026, at 3:30 p.m.
- Slovenian subtitleSestanek je 16. oktobra 2026 ob 15.30.
- The price went up by 6.5 percent to $1,250.
- Slovenian subtitleCena je zrasla za 6,5 odstotka na 1.250 dolarjev.
- Can you send me the report before Friday?
- Slovenian subtitleAli mi lahko pošljete poročilo pred petkom?
- Wow! That’s amazing!
- Slovenian subtitleVau! To je neverjetno!

Are viewers addressed as vi or ti?
As vi. “Can you send me the report before Friday?” became “Ali mi lahko pošljete poročilo pred petkom?”, and “Please sit down, sir” became “Prosim, sedite, gospod.” That fits courses and company videos; a channel that talks casually may switch to ti.
What should you check before publishing?
Mostly the tone and the names. In our test, English into Slovenian scored above the dedicated translation system we compared it with, and prices already came out the Slovenian way (“6,5 odstotka na 1.250 dolarjev”). Names stay as the English transcript spelled them.

FAQ
Slovenian subtitles for English videos: questions
Is the English to Slovenian video translator free?
Yes: 3 videos a day, up to 30 minutes each, without an account or a watermark. The Slovenian SRT and VTT and the English subtitles are included.
Will the video be dubbed into Slovenian?
No. The page makes Slovenian subtitles; the English voice and the video file stay as they are.
How do I add Slovenian subtitles on YouTube?
In YouTube Studio, open Subtitles, choose the video, add Slovenian and upload the SRT with timing. Slovenian viewers then find it in the subtitles menu.
Do the Slovenian subtitles match the English ones one for one?
Not always. The Slovenian is split into subtitles after translation, along its own sentences, so it can have a subtitle more or fewer, each still starting with the speech.
Can I burn the subtitles into the video?
Yes, with a video editor that imports SRT, such as DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro. The page itself doesn’t alter the video.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The sound is taken out in your browser; short pieces of it go to a cloud AI transcription service, and the English text to a cloud AI translation service, each of which discards it. The picture is never sent and NoteOwl keeps nothing.
